A half-hour that feels like an adventure

Melody Movement draws on the inherent actions of the body, then layers in counting, colours, shapes and language so the class supports the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as a lifelong love of dance. Loveable teddies Milligan and Melody Bear guide each weekly adventure.

Saturday mornings at LESTA Studios are a favourite with Knaphill and Woking families: parking on the doorstep, and a teacher who understands that the first class can feel big.

Better balance
Toddlers practise running, hopping and jumping as the body already wants to, so balance and agility grow without drills.

Stories and make-believe
Milligan and Melody Bear guide the half-hour, so children use their imagination as much as their feet.

Taking turns
Friends and turn-taking
Children learn to wait, share and enjoy the room together, in a warm Knaphill studio.

Then home again
A happy half-hour
Enough movement to tire them in the best way, then home before the rest of Saturday begins.
